Call for Nominations – 2010 Sixes PTA Officer Elections
Sixes PTA officer elections will be held at the PTA general meeting on March 18, 2010. The following officers will be elected:
One (1) President or Two (2) Co-President(s)
Direct the affairs of the association in cooperation with the Executive Committee and represent PTA members. Preside at all meetings of the Sixes PTA, including general membership, Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Know and follow the bylaws of the association. Serve as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee. Have representatives at council, district and state functions. Pass on to the membership at each meeting news and information from state and national bulletins. Sign and execute all contracts, agreements or other obligations in the name of the PTA as authorized by the Board of Directors.
Vice President of General Business
Oversee and interact with committee chairs for this area, including Membership, Room Mom Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Advocacy, School Unity, Teacher Representative, etc. Perform such other duties as may be provided for by the bylaws, directed by the president, the Board of Directors or the Executive Committee.
Vice President of Communications
Oversee and interact with committee chairs for this area, including News Blast, Newsletter, Website, Student Directory, Public Relations, Bulletin Board, Flyers, Posters, etc. Make reports at general meetings if requested.
Vice President of Fundraising
Initiate and coordinate fundraising efforts. Oversee and interact with committee chairs for this area, including Spirit Wear, Box Tops/Labels, Go Green, United Scrip, etc. Make reports at general meetings if requested.
Secretary
Responsible for keeping accurate record of the proceedings of the association, Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings. These records will be the history of the PTA. Maintain an accurate membership list as provided by the membership chair or committee. Promptness, accuracy and knowledge of PTA Purposes and Policies are very important to the job.
Treasurer
Legally responsible, authorized custodian of PTA funds. Responsible for the financial management of the PTA. Receives and disburses all monies in accordance with the bylaws and the approved budget. Responsible for the bank account and all transactions. Prepares monthly reports and present reports at PTA meetings. Prepares reports for and files annual tax return.

You may seal your form in an envelope addressed to Rob, and send it in with your child to school, or drop off your completed form in the school office.
