Help us to “Plant the Seeds of the Future!”  Your membership dues will help our children grow!  Help PTA by becoming our partner in this endeavor.   A paper garden along the hallway  will grow to track our membership.  There will be flowers, grass and butterflies.  Each person/family joining PTA will have their child’s name recognized on one of these items in the garden.  Each individual classroom that achieves 100% membership will also get the honor of planting a bush in front of the school as a thank you.

What benefits do I get by becoming a PTA member?  There are many, but a few of the reasons that stand out:

1. There is no better way to stay connected and learn about what is happening at Sixes.
2. PTA helps to sponsor events/programs that the school is unable to provide on their own, because of the difficulty in funding such programs.  Some examples of events that the PTA sponsors are:

*Cultural Arts                                                    *AimsWeb & Write to Learn

* Dances                                                              * Exceptional Children’s Week

* Renaissance Learning (AR tests)            * Red Ribbon Week

1. You become a positive role model for your child by letting them know you place great importance on their education.
2. You support the educational system through legislative advocacy.
3. Also, there are discounts for Fernbank, Zoo Atlanta and others.

So, please take a moment and fill out a membership form.  Our goal is to have each child at Sixes represented this year.  Your $5 or $10 makes all the difference in one or more child’s life.   Together, we can plant the seeds that will last a lifetime.
